Today will feel a lot like yesterday- hot, muggy, and with slightly higher rain chances. Most of today’s rain will likely develop over the mountains thanks to daytime heating and orographic lift. Some of these storms may drift into the lowlands, but the severe threat remains very low.
One this morning’s fog burns off, we’ll be in for another hot and sticky day. High humidity and lingering moisture will push feels-like temperatures into the upper 80s and 90s across much of the area. Be sure to pack extra water and take breaks as needed.
Both today and tomorrow will be sweaty, but a major cool down is on the horizon. By Friday into the weekend, we will return to crisp and cool (comparatively) temperatures in the 70s. It will be a nice treat after so many hot days. Stay cool!
