Wyoming County, WV (WOAY) – A business in Wyoming County is bringing awareness to mental health.
Travelers Roadhouse in Pineville will hold an adult prom Friday, June 27, starting at 6 pm to celebrate Just One June, an event to bring awareness to men’s mental health.
There is a fee to attend the event, but all the money raised will go toward the Pineville Out of the Darkness Walk held on September 6 at the Wyoming County Courthouse, a walk to bring awareness to suicide prevention.
Cindy Stagg with the American Foundation for suicide prevention will be on hand at the adult prom to answer any questions about the prevention of suicide.
Jamie Leigh Reichert, the owner of Travelers Roadhouse and organizer for the adult prom, says the idea came from how she felt and what she went through when she lost her mother last year.
