Gauley Bridge, WV (WOAY)- Get ready to make a splash in one of the wildest races of the summer!
On Saturday, August 16, at noon, head to ACE Adventure Resort in Gauley Bridge for the annual Anything That Floats Race.
If your invention floats, you can race it!
From duct-taped canoes to pool noodle rafts, participants will paddle their homemade vessels about half a mile from the river access point to School Bus Island and back.
All participants must complete the ACE Adventure Resort General Liability Waiver online before the event check-in at 10:00 am.
Awards will be announced at ACE Adventure Gear following the event at 1:30 pm.
Racers compete in several categories for which they can win prizes, including the fastest craft on the water, the most creative and wild/wacky craft, the best team spirit, and the slowest on the water.
