AccessHealth opens new Harper Road Women’s Clinic

BECKLEY, WV (WOAY) – AccessHealth, in collaboration with the Beckley Raleigh County Chamber of Commerce kicked off the opening of its new state-of-the-art Women’s Health Clinic.

It’s dedicated to women of all ages with the latest medical technology and compassionate care for the community.

“Our services have been growing, our patient population has been growing,” said AccessHealth Administrator Brittany Martin. “So we just did our needs assessment, looked at the data and realized southern West Virginia deserves a state-of-the-art women’s health center. We had one previously behind the hospital — so we just moved our clinic over here (and) we’re real excited about it.”

Ob-gyn Dr. Norman Siegel is happy with this new modern building.

“We’re all making little adjustments in terms of workflow but I think it’s a wonderful opportunity,” Siegel said. “We get to do ultrasounds in this building and previously it was down the street. So that’s very convenient for our patients.”

The AccessHealth Clinic offers comprehensive patient-centered care and a variety of services.

“Whether it’s for your annual checkup; if you’re pregnant, postpartum, anywhere in the lifespan of women’s health,” said Martin.

According to Siegel, he couldn’t be more grateful for AccessHealth’s making this possible for their patients. He says he always looked forward to delivering several generations of the same family.

“I’ve already done that,” said the doctor. “Delivered generations of the same family, induced ovulation in women whose children I delivered and now I’m inducing ovulation in those women. So that’s very gratifying.”

The clinic is a huge asset to the community.

“To know that we can touch the lives and help many of the ladies here in southern West Virginia, it really is an awesome feeling,” Martin said.
