Fayetteville, WV (WOAY)- Climbers, are you trusting your life to wobbly hangers?
If you’ve ever questioned the safety of the bolts you’re clipping into, there’s an event for you.
Join the Access Fund Climber Stewards and New River Alliance of Climbers this evening for a hands-on workshop all about hardware safety.
It’s happening from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. at Waterstone Outdoors, located at 101 E. Wiseman Avenue in Fayetteville.
There’ll be a brief presentation at 6:30, followed by a Q&A session and interactive demos to help you learn how to identify suspicious gear and understand how replacement efforts are keeping climbers safe.
Whether you’re a seasoned trad leader or new to sport climbing, come out, ask questions, and see real-life examples of what not to trust on the wall.
Your safety could depend on it.
