Beckley, WV (WOAY) The Academy of Careers and Technology (ACT) is being recognized as one of America’s Top Vocational Schools for the second year in a row.
The 2026 rankings from USA Today and global research firm Statista recognize ACT for its commitment to vocational education and career preparation.
The rankings consider factors including graduation rates, graduate salaries, the time it takes students to pay off educational costs, social mobility, and diversity.
ACT school administrator Kevin Bolen says the recognition is a testament to the faculty and staff who work every day to prepare students for the workforce.
The school works with industry partners to keep its programs aligned with current workforce needs.
That allows students to graduate with high-demand, job-ready skills, often without taking on long-term student debt.
