Beckley, WV (WOAY) Students in a local nursing program are giving back to the community, and they’re asking for your help.
The Academy of Careers and Technology’s (ACT) daytime and evening Practical Nursing programs are collecting donations to help stock Blessing Boxes across the community.
Organizers say they’re asking for items like non-perishable food and essentials, and remind donors to check expiration dates before dropping them off.
Donations can be delivered to the school on Stanaford Road in Beckley during normal business hours now through Friday, March 20.
School leaders say any contribution will help support neighbors in need while giving students a chance to take part in a meaningful community service project.
The ACT building is located at 390 Stanaford Road.
Normal business hours are Monday-Thursday from 7:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m., and Friday from 7:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m.
