Today was pretty nice across most of the area, although a couple showers were prevalent, mainly across our southern and western counties. Tomorrow, the chance of rain continues with a marginal risk of severe weather in the western counties surrounding ours. A rogue strong to marginally severe thunderstorm cannot be ruled out, particularly across our western area. As we move into the main part of the work week, the rain will continue to be here.

Heavy rain and thunderstorms look to return to the area Tuesday, before lighter rain takes over Wednesday due to instability being less. That will start to ramp up again, slightly, on Thursday which brings the potential for thunderstorms back into the mix. As we approach Friday and the weekend, the chances for rain slowly start to dwindle. Still, expect some scattered showers Friday-Sunday. Football Friday shouldn’t be a washout, but definitely bring some rain gear!
