A Jackson County man is facing charges for allegedly shooting his father

Jackson County, WV (WOAY) – A Jackson County man is facing charges for allegedly shooting his father.

According to a media release from the Jackson County Sheriff’s Department, deputies arrested Chase Fleming after a lengthy foot chase through Jackson and Roane counties for allegedly shooting his father in the face with a crossbow.

The incident took place on Tuesday, March 17.

According to deputies, the victim is alive and in stable condition at CAMC General Hospital. Fleming was admitted as well for observation.

Chase Fleming is charged with one count of malicious assault. He could face other charges if the case goes before a grand jury.

Bond has not been set in the case.
