BECKLEY, WV (WOAY) – A local Woodrow Wilson High School senior has created a mentorship group on Facebook for mentally ill children during this time.
Child Tragedy Prevention Facebook group was created by a graduating senior named Caleb Click. The Facebook page helps connect adults with children in the community that is battling mental health issues. Caleb Click says his goal is to help over 80 children In the Southern West Virginia area.
“Maybe in the future, we could get partners to help get children sponsored, but as of right now the goal is for every member to talk to a kid for 15 minutes a day and then once we get more people maybe two kids a day for 15 minutes and everybody could take 30 minutes out of their day we could impact a bunch of people,” said Facebook group creator Caleb Click.
Parents who would like their children to participate can join the Child Tragedy Prevention Facebook page.
