A few showers tonight, more fog tomorrow morning

We are seeing scattered showers and isolated storms around the region this afternoon, mainly in Pocahontas County. Other areas picked up some rain earlier today, and there will be a chance for more rain later this evening, before the chances end later tonight. Overall, the coverage and intensity of the showers and storms today are not what they were yesterday.
One thing that will be similar tonight to what it was this morning is the chance for patchy fog. We’ve seen plenty of rain over the past few days, and temperatures will easily be able to reach the dewpoints overnight, leading to fog and slowing us down as we head out to the late evening and morning plans on Friday.
Tomorrow, the chances for showers and storms return, and some of the storms could again be on the strong side. Gusty winds are possible, but heavy rain leading to possible standing water on the roads and in the poor drainage areas is the main concern. Rain chances go down a bit as the weekend starts, and in reply, the temperatures go up a bit. Saturday is the better of the two weekend days, as Sunday will feature more clouds and higher rain chances.
The next traditional work week starts with more good rain chances before we see a break on Tuesday and Wednesday. Once again, temperatures rise as rain chances go down. Another front approaches on Thursday and raises the rain chances, and there is a possibility that some of the storms that day could be strong.
Overall, the week ahead is a typical summer week around southern West Virginia.
