We will be having a pretty calm week across Southern West Virginia until we hit Thursday. Some scattered showers appear possible Thursday across the area before more widespread rain appears likely on Friday. This widespread rain will be courtesy of yet another cold front sweeping through the state.

Not much rain will fall over the next 7 days, even with this cold frontal passage. Anywhere from a quarter to a half inch look possible region-wide with most of this rain falling on Friday. Whoever picks up the rain on Thursday could be receiving a little more

Looking at the 7 day forecast and we will start to warm up going into Friday. Temperatures rebound fairly quickly after the cold front that passed through recently, before the new one sweeps through Friday bringing rain. Temperatures going into Saturday morning will continue to plummet into the upper 20’s before quickly heading back toward average by early next week. Definitely stay bundled up if you’re outside Saturday and Sunday mornings!
