OAK HILL, WV (WOAY) – The Oak Hill Police Department has welcomed a new police officer to their team.
Brandon Dodrill has been hired as the newest K-9 officer. Dodrill’s position was approved by the Oak Hill City Council in last week’s meeting. Oak Hill City Manager Bill Hannabass says the city is proud to have Dodrill on board.
“Police Officers are very difficult to hire. They go through virgous testing and training before they are certified as a Police Officer. Not just anybody can be a police officer so we’re always happy to be able to replace an officer that is leaving through retirement or whatever reason,” Hannabass said.
Dodrill started his new position last week and is the 17th officer to join the department.
