BECKLEY, WV (WOAY) – St. Francis De Sales Catholic School in Beckley has released its full reopening plans, which includes face-to-face instructions.
Staff members and students will be required to wear face masks in the hallways and get their temperature check every day. Principal Mary Grace Peck said due to the school’s small population of students enrolled; she believes students coming back full-time is the best option.
“We are in accord with the American Academy of Pediatricians, and we feel that the optical place for children to learn is the school setting, and that is what we want to provide to our kids. I feel like we can do this because of the modification that we’re making and the safety guidelines that we are going to follow,” said Peck.
Principal Peck says they are prepared to adjust their safety guidelines if the pandemic worsens.
