PRINCETON, WV (WOAY) – The Princeton Library has been continuing to offer activities for kids during the summer despite the issues with the pandemic.
The library is offering curbside pickup for most of their services and families can pick up supplies for online activities that kids can participate in. Library director Sheena Johnson says they are proud to still be able to offer these services to the community during the pandemic.
“During this time when children haven’t been in school for a while, and haven’t been able to go on vacations, and have been limited from their family members even, it’s good to still know that your local library is here and they’re still trying to do programs to inspire your creativity and involve you,” Johnson said.
Typically the library sees a good amount of in-person use during the summer, but Johnson said this year’s summer season has been very different for them.
Online activities may even continue further into the year, especially if kids continue their schooling online.
