West Virginia (WOAY) Fall turkey hunting season is returning to West Virginia this week, giving hunters across the state another opportunity to head into the woods.
The West Virginia Division of Natural Resources (WVDNR) says the first segment is open now and runs through October 18 in all 55 counties.
Additional hunting opportunities will be available later this month in select counties.
Hunters may harvest one turkey of either sex during the fall season, using a bow, crossbow, or qualifying firearm.
Electronic calls and bait are prohibited.
Hunters are encouraged to review the state’s hunting regulations before heading out and make sure they have the required license and identification.
