Coda Fall Festival returns to Fayetteville Town Park

Fayetteville, WV (WOAY) – Coda Mountain Academy’s annual Fall Festival is moving back to the Fayetteville Town Park after being held on the football field at Fayetteville PK-8.

The festival runs 4-7 p.m. Sunday, Oct. 4. Coda and the Fayetteville Ministerial Association are sponsoring the event.

Matt Evans, executive director of Coda Mountain Academy, says the festival has been held every year for more than a decade and is open to the entire community.

“We’ll have live music, we’ll have free pizza, free popcorn, drinks for everybody that comes up,” Evans said. “We’ll also have door prizes, some great door prizes this year. Bicycles, electric scooters, drones.”

According to Eric Snuffer, president of the Fayetteville Ministerial Association, past festivals have drawn out hundreds of children and their families. Snuffer says his church has taken part since the festival began as a way to show love to the surrounding community.

“You know, we see the struggles that are going on, you know, in families… And we just want to be here to help both the children and the family units any way that we can,” Snuffer said. “This is a day of fun, and yet we want to also provide hope.”
