Gov. Morrisey announces nearly $20 million in upgrades for state parks, forests

BEAVER, WV (WOAY) – Gov. Patrick Morrisey says the state will spend nearly $20 million on upgrades in state parks and forests around the state.

Upgrades include $1 million to rehabilitate the lower tram building at Hawks Nest State Park and $2 million for major renovations at Twin Falls State Park.

Little Beaver State Park is getting $3 million for brand-new facilities.

“At Little Beaver State Park, we’re constructing a brand-new 34-site campground, along with the electrical improvements to nearby campsites,” Morrisey said in a press conference.
