Mercer County, WV (WOAY) – Visit Mercer County has been recognized by the West Virginia Department of Tourism for its work in digital marketing.
The bureau won the 2026 Digital Innovation Award, which was presented at the annual Governor’s Conference on tourism.
The award recognizes Visit Mercer County’s website, social media, and digital advertising. The bureau’s strategy has been using social media to drive visitors to their website to help coordinate visits.
That combination of efforts helps the bureau brand Mercer County as uniquely Appalachian.
