Oak Hill, WV (WOAY) Waterways and wildlife are vital parts of our region’s history, and they are worth celebrating this September at the 20th annual Freshwater Folk Festival in White Sulphur Springs.
The festival will include live music, tasty food, local artisans, and hands-on educational activities – all meant to celebrate and promote conservation of freshwater resources and local natural history.
With fishing demonstrations, an observation beehive, and up-close opportunities to see live fish, snakes, and even axolotls, people of all ages can enjoy a full day of fun and discover reasons to appreciate the great outdoors.
The Freshwater Folk Festival will take place—rain or shine—on Saturday, September 12th, from 10 am to 3 pm on the grounds of the White Sulphur Springs National Fish Hatchery at 400 East Main Street.
