West Virginia (WOAY) Several roads in New River Gorge National Park remain closed following recent storms and flooding.
The closure along Fayette Station Road has been extended from Teay’s Landing on the north side to the beginning of the two-way section on the south side.
Park officials say they’re working with the West Virginia Division of Highways to address the issues.
Cunard Road has multiple active slides and downed trees, making both river access and the Brooklyn Campground inaccessible.
That road is expected to remain closed throughout the week while crews wait for soil conditions to dry and debris to be removed.
Nuttalburg Road and Glade Creek Road also remain closed.
The road to Thurmond is currently passable.
Park officials are also assessing trails and advising visitors to use caution while hiking.
