West Virginia (WOAY) The West Virginia University School of Nursing’s Bachelor of Science in Nursing program has been named a WVU Board of Governors Program of Excellence.
The recognition also includes the School of Nursing’s Beckley Campus at WVU Tech, highlighting the success of its graduates and faculty.
The Beckley program reported a 100% pass rate in 2024 and a pass rate of over 90% in 2025.
Hundreds of its graduates are now working as nurses in hospitals across West Virginia and the country.
School officials say the program’s focus on clinical experience, community and rural health, and access to healthcare facilities in the Beckley area helps prepare students for careers in nursing.
The program is also consistently ranked as West Virginia’s number-one baccalaureate nursing program by RegisteredNursing.org.
