MacArthur, WV (WOAY) The Raleigh County Sheriff’s Office is providing an update on a reported incident at the Walmart in MacArthur that raised concerns about possible human trafficking.
Sheriff Frank Priddy says the case remains under investigation, but deputies have found no evidence of a human trafficking threat.
Investigators now believe the situation is related to a mental health issue and are working with appropriate resources to address the matter.
The Sheriff’s office is thanking the public for its concern and cooperation as the investigation continues.
