
White Oak, WV (WOAY) A White Oak man has been sentenced to a decade in federal prison in connection with a methamphetamine distribution case.
50-year-old John Thompson received a 10-year sentence followed by five years of supervised release for aiding and abetting the distribution of more than 50 grams of methamphetamine.
According to court documents, Thompson arranged the sale of approximately 205 grams of meth to a confidential informant in March of 2024.
Prosecutors say he also admitted to selling methamphetamine and fentanyl during several other transactions.
Co-defendant Sharee Woodson of Beckley was previously sentenced in March to 10 years in prison in the same case.
