Beckley, WV (WOAY) The Beckley-Raleigh County Chamber of Commerce’s Raleigh County Make It Shine Committee is calling on volunteers to help clean up the community.
A litter sweep is set for Friday, May 1 at 9:00 a.m. in the Glen Morgan area, including Sullivan Road, Tank Branch Road, and the Bridge Mural Park area.
Volunteers should park and meet at the car wash near the train bridge at Route 19 and Sullivan Road.
The group plans to clean along Sullivan Road from Route 19 to the I-64 bridge.
Organizers say traffic control and officers will be on site, and all supplies—including vests, gloves, and litter bags—will be provided.
Participants are encouraged to wear comfortable shoes and bring water, along with their own work gloves if preferred.
