Welch, WV (WOAY) McDowell County candidates are invited to take part in an upcoming community forum focused on the county’s future and senior services on April 30 at 6:00 p.m.
The forum will be held at the Caffrey Center in Welch.
Participants are asked to arrive by 5:40 p.m., with early arrival encouraged for a brief meet-and-greet.
Registration will take place on-site. candidates may simply arrive and sign in
The forum will be moderated by Dr. Donald Reed, Robin Pruitt, and Brock Jackson, and will feature structured questions only.
Judicial candidates can expect questions centered on their legal background, community service, and judicial philosophy.
The event will be streamed live on the McDowell County Commission on Aging’s Facebook page.
Organizers emphasize this is a professional, nonpartisan event, designed strictly for voter education and civic engagement.
Candidates will have one minute to respond to each question, with strict rules in place, including no campaign materials, no technology use, and no interaction with others during the forum.
