Nicholas County authorities investigating suspected murder suicide after three people were discovered dead in a Summersville home

Summersville, WV (WOAY) Nicholas County authorities are investigating after three individuals were discovered dead in a Summersville home.

According to Summersville Police, at approximately 5:00 pm on Thursday, February 19, officers responded to a 911 call reporting an individual found three people unconscious and unresponsive at a home in the Tara Estates area.
The individuals were identified as married couple, Dawn and Douglass Morrow, and Dawn’s mother, Nancy Lindwedel.
After investigating, Summersville Police believe that Douglass Morrow shot and killed his wife and mother-in-law before taking his own life.
The bodies have been transported to the State Medical Examiner’s office for an autopsy.
Summerville Chief of Police Brad Reed says the investigation is still ongoing by the Summersville Police Department and the West Virginia State Police.
