FAYETTE COUNTY, WV (WOAY) – Just for Kids Child Advocacy Center is thrilled to announce its new location at 598 Main Street, Oak Hill.
It will provide a more confidential, more child-friendly, family-friendly, and family-oriented trauma-informed space.
They also have new state-of-the-art technology with new security systems.
“We were able to upgrade our interview room equipment with brand new cameras and recording equipment,” Dr. Deanee’ Johnson said, adding that this makes for a more streamlined approach for investigations. “Allowing us to more easily share the recordings with law enforcement and child protective services.”
According to Johnson, it makes for a better and safer refuge.
“Right now it’s really about making the space we currently have meet the needs of the families we’re serving,” said the JFK executive director.
They were previously on Jones Avenue for more than seven years.
