West Virginia State Police to conduct sobriety checkpoint in Summersville on September 18

Summersville, WV (WOAY)- The West Virginia State Police will host a sobriety checkpoint in Nicholas County on Thursday, September 18.

The checkpoint will take place along State Route 41 in Summersville, between Old Wilderness Road and Vaught Street, from 6:00 p.m. to midnight.

The purpose of the checkpoint is to deter impaired driving and to educate the public about the dangers of operating a vehicle while under the influence.

State Police urge the public to assist by reporting impaired drivers to local law enforcement.
