Huntington, WV (WOAY) – Marshall University has selected a new leader to oversee school’s athletic programs.
According to a media release from the Thundering Herd, Gerald J. Harrison has been named as Vice President/Director of Athletics for Marshall Athletics.
Harrison’s announcement as Marshall’s 23rd Director of Athletics comes following approval by Marshall’s Board of Governors this morning.
Harrison previously led the athletic department at Austin Peay, where he’s worked since 2018.
Harrison will be introduced to Herd fans in a press conference Wednesday morning.
