Good evening, folks! Our much-anticipated rain is still on the way, but it looks like it will arrive a little later tonight. Residents further east will be the first to see the showers from the weakening tropical system currently moving through the Carolinas. For the rest of us, expect rain overnight and off-and-on showers throughout the day tomorrow, so be sure to have your rain gear ready!
Tuesday is shaping up to be a rainy day for much of Southern West Virginia, with rainfall totals ranging from 0.25 inches to around 1 inch by tomorrow night. Showers will continue into Wednesday, but we’re trending toward drier conditions by Friday. Temperatures will remain cool on Tuesday and Wednesday before warming back up to near 80 degrees just in time for the weekend.
Stay tuned to WOAY for the latest updates, and don’t forget to grab that umbrella!
