Two suspects in custody in connection with Lincoln County High School fire

Hamlin, WV (WOAY)- Police have identified and arrested two suspects accused of starting the fire that broke out at Lincoln County High School. 

According to a police press release, local authorities responded to an arson complaint at the school’s athletic complex in Hamlin on Sunday, April 28. 

Upon arrival, police found the baseball team’s dugout and an attached shed were damaged in the fire. 

Thousands of dollars in mowers and baseball equipment were also destroyed. 

Following further investigation, authorities obtained arrest warrants for 57-year-old Lisa McClure and 32-year-old Curtis Mooney of Griffithsville. 

Mcclure and Mooney are facing arson, conspiracy, and felony destruction of property charges. 

The suspects have been processed and transported to South Central Regional Jail to await further court proceedings.
