Two Board of Health members appointed

MERCER COUNTY, WV (WOAY) – The Mercer County Commission appoints two people to the board of health.

Robb Williams has an MBA in Health Care Administration from Ashford University. He also received a bachelor’s degree in Organizational Leadership from Mountain State University. Williams currently works as the CEO of Encompass Rehabilitation Hospital in Princeton.

Daniel Wells holds a Doctor of Pharmacy degree and is a local business owner. His recommendation from the board describes him as a community-minded person. The board added that his skill set would be crucial in responding to the opioid epidemic.

Mercer County Commissioner Greg Puckett says he’s more than satisfied with the new board members.

“I think they’re exceptional,” said Puckett. “I mean, to be honest with you, I look at things from a very holistic standpoint in which to deal with public health and I think each one of these members are great representatives to try to make sure the public’s health is protected and the operations of the health department will be flawless.”

Board members help ensure public health is upheld and helps make sure health codes are followed.
