HINTON, WV (WOAY) – Summers County enjoyed four straight playoff appearances from 2015-18, but a difficult start to the 2019 season ended that streak. Bobcat players and coaches are quickly stating their aim to put last year behind them and get back to a winning record.
It’s not just on-field performances that on their minds this fall. Summers County will be playing to honor former standout Isaiah Brown, who passed away in April; although Brown graduated in 2014, his impact throughout the community is still felt.
The Bobcats’ 2020 schedule starts with two teams that reached the postseason a year ago, providing a measuring stick for where they hope to be by the end of the season.
