2018 WV Amateur – Third Round

WOAY – The third round of the 99th West Virginia Amateur Championship was played Wednesday, with golfers returning to the Greenbrier’s Meadows course.

After three players broke par on Monday & Tuesday combined, eight golfers posted subpar rounds, including Nick Dent of White Sulphur Springs, who holds the lowest round of the week so far at 66. He is third at +4 through 54 holes, and will be in the final group Thursday.

Defending champion Sam O’Dell, who was the second round leader at -1, posted an even-par third round of 70 to maintain the lead, with 13-time champion Pat Carter staying second at +1 after shooting 67 on Wednesday.

The final round Thursday will be played on the Old White TPC course. Tee times begin at 8:00 AM, with the final group (Dent, Carter, O’Dell) scheduled to tee off at 10:33 AM
