Summersville, WV (WOAY) – After missing out in 2015, Nicholas County returned to the Class AA playoffs last year, and they look to continue that positive momentum over the next two months.
The Grizzlies went 9-1 in the regular season, led by several key seniors including Tate Mayes (now at Concord) and Randy Moss Award winner Carter Sebert-Sweeney.
August represents the opportunity for new players to step up as both playmakers and off-field leaders, as they’ve been present for past highs and lows with the program, and are determined to make 2017 another positive season.
Nicholas County’s 2017 schedule: August 25 vs. Greenbrier West; September 1 at Shady Spring; September 8 vs. Wyoming East; September 15 at Roane County; September 29 vs. James Monroe; October 6 at Braxton County; October 13 at Westside; October 20 vs. Midland Trail; October 27 at PikeView; November 3 vs. Richwood
