It’s been a fairly nice Sunday across Southern West Virginia. Calm weather is in the forecast for at least the next couple of days. Some isolated showers are possible Monday and Thursday. However, we are still watching the potential for rain to impact our Friday night football games across the area. Models are starting to converge on the possibility of rain Friday afternoon into evening as being the most likely outcome as of now. There is still plenty of time to change over the next couple of days, but that is where things stand as of now!

The European model and the GFS model are also starting to agree a little more on rainfall totals as well over the next 7 days. The European model shows mostly in between a quarter and a half inch of rain, while the GFS is still a little more bullish, but for the most part is now keeping people below an inch of rain. Although, most of this in both models falls on Friday.

Here is a look at the full 7 day forecast across the region, a pretty average day on Monday with isolated showers in the morning. Temperatures will start to rise towards the mid 80’s and will feel pretty warm Wednesday and Thursday. While isolated showers are possible on Thursday, rain is more likely to happen on Friday through Sunday, thunderstorm activity is possible, but looks low at the moment. We will continue to see how things trend over the next couple of days!
