Fayette County Health Department to travel across the county hosting community health events in honor of Heart Health Month

Oak Hill, WV (WOAY) The Fayette County Health Department takes cardiovascular health to heart in honor of National Heart Health Month.

The department’s mobile unit will travel across the county this month, providing free blood pressure checks and heart health education.

Attendees will also have a chance at winning an electric blood pressure cuff and pulse oximeter.

The first event was originally set for Friday, February 6, at the Fayette County Courthouse, but has now been cancelled due to forecasted inclement weather.

Additional locations, times, and dates include: 

• Wednesday, February 11th at Smithers Grant’s from noon to 3:00 pm 

• Thursday, February 12th, at Fayetteville Dollar General from 1:00 pm to 3:00 pm 

• Thursday, February 19th  at Oak Hill Grant’s from noon to 3:00 pm  

• Friday, February 27th, at Hico Piggly Wiggly from noon to 3:00 pm
