OAK HILL, WV (WOAY) – The Fayette County Humane Society has been in a Code Red status for some time.
So on September 19, The Frozen Barn is stepping up to help by donating a portion of its day’s proceeds to the FCHS.
“It would help us out a great deal,” said event coordinator Joshua Dillon. “We need essentials, just everyday essentials like bleach, floor cleaner to be able to keep open and stay sanitized and help keep our dogs safe, as well as the people that we have coming in and out to adopt or to foster.”
According to Dillon, they need to have events like this more often than they can to maintain the situation.
“Any opportunity, and we’re always taking donations,” the event coordinator said. “You can either reach me on my cell phone or email address and we can work out somewhere to meet or you can bring your donations down here to 513 Shelter Road in Fayetteville.”
This is such a great and easy cause.
“Come in, get your ice cream. Whatever proceeds they make that day is what determines what we get,” said Dillon. “Every little bit helps.”
The FCHS is trying to get as many people over to The Frozen Barn as possible.
“Not only to support us, but it also supports a local business in the area that is trying to help us out,” the event coordinator said. “So it’s a win-win for both of us.”
Look for Joshua under a brown or blue tent.
“I’ll have dogs, some puppies there available for adoption,” said Dillon. “Find me sitting outside The Frozen Barn on the 19th.”
