SOUTH CHARLESTON, WV (WOAY) — The West Virginia Division of Natural Resources will present proposed hunting, trapping and fishing regulations to the public at 12 locations around the state on March 16-17.
The meetings, scheduled from 6 to 8 p.m., are located in schools, community centers and public spaces in each district. During the meetings, hunters, trappers, anglers, landowners and others can review and comment on proposed regulations for the 2020-2021 hunting and fishing seasons.
“These public meetings are set up like an open house,” said DNR Director Stephen McDaniel. “This informal meeting style allows people to attend at their convenience, discuss proposed regulation changes with Wildlife Resources and Law Enforcement staff and provide feedback on other wildlife related issues.”
Proposed regulation changes will be posted on the DNR website soon at www.wvdnr.gov. Written comments from the public are encouraged and must be submitted by April 3. Anyone interested in attending a meeting should note the following dates and locations:
