Two Raleigh County high schools experienced disruptions on December 14.
Woodrow Wilson High School says classes were disrupted after a “medical emergency” occurrec this morning at around 8:40.
Students and teachers were evacuated to the gymnasium and auditorium until the EMS crew on scene gave the all clear.
Woodrow Wilson was on its regular schedule for the rest of the day.
Then, at Shady Spring High School, the Raleigh County Sheriff’s office says that they investigated a verbal threat made by a student.
School officials notified the sheriff’s office, and deputies filed juvenile charges against the student.
However, Sheriff Canaday says that he does not believe that the school was in any real danger.
