Water rescues underway in Minden

At least 15 dead due to severe flooding in Central Appalachia

MINDEN, WV (WOAY) – Flooding rains in Fayette County are causing significant problems.

Oak Hill City Manager, Bill Hannabass, tells WOAY that water rescues are underway in Minden. Residents are trapped in their homes and being rescued on boats.

4-6” of rain has fallen already.
