Two employees at Oak Hill nursing home test positive for COVID-19

OAK HILL, WV (WOAY) – Fayette County is experiencing another nursing home outbreak. This time, at Hidden Valley Center in Oak Hill.

Fayette County Health Officer Dr. Anita Stewart confirms that two employees have tested positive. This was discovered in a routine staff check as Genesis Health tests their staff monthly.

“Those two, however, are asymptomatic. They don’t have any links, so we’re doing re-testing as well as testing the residents of that facility,” she said.

The health department did conclude testing on their other outbreak at Fayette Nursing and Rehab in Fayetteville with no new positives, just the original five with one staff member and four residents.
