Two Ansted men face burglary and conspiracy charges in Fayette County

Ansted, WV (WOAY)- Two Ansted men are facing felony charges in Fayette County. 

Sheriff Mike Fridley reports that at 3:30 am, deputies responded to a call regarding a burglary at the Smoker’s Depot in Ansted. 

Upon initial investigation, authorities determined two individuals threw a rock through the door to gain entry into the store and then began filling a backpack with merchandise. 

Deputies were able to locate the suspects, identified as 28-year-old Matthew Balik and 18-year-old Dakota Nottingham. 

Balik and Nottingham are facing felony burglary and conspiracy charges.
