Toyota announces three recalls affecting nearly 300,000 vehicles.

Oak Hill, WV (WOAY)- The world’s largest automaker has issued recalls for thousands of pickup trucks and SUVs.

Toyota says it is issuing a series of three recalls that will affect around 280,000 vehicles.

In some Toyota Tundras and Sequoias, the engine doesn’t always fully disengage while in neutral, which can cause a vehicle to creep forward inadvertently.

That represents a significant safety issue and could lead to a potential accident.

There’s a second and smaller recall, including about 19,000 vehicles for Toyota’s electric Mirai and specific 2023 and 2024 Lexus LX 600 models.

That involves a software issue that hinders rearview images for the driver.

The third recall is for a few thousand Toyota Camry and Camry hybrids over concerns with the head restraints on the rear fold-down seats.
