Tollbooth workers given supplies to stay healthy during Coronavirus outbreak

WEST VIRGINIA (WOAY) – The Parkways Authority has taken steps to provide protection to West Virginia Turnpike toll workers during the COVID-19 pandemic.

Toll collectors are provided with masks, gloves, alcohol wipes for cleaning equipment in the booth, hand sanitizer, and wipes to clean their workstations.

Collectors have been urged to keep their distance, to wait outside the booth until the other has exited when changing shifts, and to stay home if they are experiencing symptoms or running a fever.

COVID-19 awareness training is being provided to all employees to keep them, and the public, safe.
