Soggy Weather Transitions to More Seasonable Mid-Winter Pattern

WOAY-TV (Oak Hill, WV): Following a soggy stretch that will continue through midday Wednesday, colder, more seasonable trends are ahead!

SHORT-TERM: Fog will be thick in the Greenbrier Valley through midday Wednesday with occasional showers for the remainder of southern West Virginia. A few peaks of sun are expected Wednesday afternoon with lots of sun by Thursday afternoon.

SNOW: The short answer is no blockbuster storm. The long answer is that we’ll have snow showers late Friday into Saturday that will add up to a coating and not cause any travel trouble. The second storm will come just in time for New Year’s Day to Tuesday with 1″ of snow. Roads could become a bit slippery then.

SKIING & SNOWBOARDING FORECAST FOR WINTERPLACE: Good news from Friday evening into early next week with snowmaking opportunities and fresh accumulation!
