FAYETTEVILLE, WV (WOAY)- You never know what to expect on Bridge Day, but a stage show is certainly not expected, but a unique show is coming to Fayetteville on Bridge Day.
Bridge day is this Saturday and if you want to keep the fun going after the final jump, Scriptless in Seattle is bringing their one-of-a-kind show to the Historic Fayette Theater to round off Bridge Day with a good laugh. And when I say one of a kind, I mean one of a kind, as the show is improv. Improv is a live form of theater, where everything that is said is happening in real-time and never scripted.
Scriptless in Seattle’s general manager and emcee Justin Folger, explains more in detail what audiences can expect from a show with no script.
“It is a one-of-a-kind show. We like to say that the show that you’re about to see has never been performed before and it will never be performed again. And that’s true because it is 100% different every time you can see seven shows in a row and not one of them would be even close to the other,” said Folger. “So, it’s fun because it’s an interactive comedy show. You definitely have some ownership as an audience member, and it’s also fun because it’s so rare you don’t watch. You’re going to see that evening in that space. It’s kind of special because it’ll never, ever repeat.”
So, from its humble origins of a silly talent show to being on a nationwide tour, everything about Scriptless in Seattle is unexpected, but why come to Fayetteville?
“So, we actually love to perform at historic theaters. It’s something cool about doing such a modern comedy movement where people did Vaudeville,” exclaimed Folger.
So, if you’d like to get a good laugh after bridge day and get to see a show that has never been seen, nor is to ever be seen again, head over to Historic Fayette Theater at 7 p.m. on Saturday.
