BECKLEY, WV (WOAY) – The Raleigh County Public Library will be holding their annual rummage sale this weekend.
The rummage sale acts as a small community market, where the library sells off many items that have been previously donated. Furniture, knick-knacks, accessories, books and more will be for sale. All proceeds from the sale will go to supporting the library’s summer reading program.
Amy Stover, director of the Raleigh County Library, is hopeful for a good turnout to the rummage sale. She expects the summer reading program to be very busy, and may need a some more financial help to succeed.
“Programming is a vital part of what we do. And every year the number of participants in the summer reading program increases. This year we’re expecting 500 children a week at this location alone. And if we want to have something for everyone to do and have a lovely time, we needed a little but extra support,” Stover said.
The rummage sale will take place this Saturday at the Raleigh County Public Library from 9 A.M. to 1 P.M.
