Perry, Zambos discuss preparations for West Virginia Open

DANIELS, WV (WOAY) – Hear from Landon Perry (Shady Spring) and Blake Zambos (White Sulphur Springs), two of the area qualifiers who will play in the 87th West Virginia Open next week.

The championship will be played on the Resort at Glade Springs’ Cobb course, where both Perry and Zambos were successful in qualifying for the championship earlier this month. Zambos, who begins his first round at 1:10 PM next Tuesday, tied for the lowest round in the qualifier with a one-under round of 71.

Perry is in the first group to start from #10 in Tuesday’s first round, teeing off at 7:45 AM; as a Raleigh County resident, he says his familiarity with the course will help him in the Open, as it did in the qualifier.

The 2020 WV Open runs Tuesday-Thursday, with David Bradshaw going for his fifth straight title and 12th championship overall. Stick with WOAY Sports for coverage throughout the week from Glade Springs.
